Sunday 3rd of July had our under 11s compete in the Oldham CFC Tournament. Despite a below par perfomance AT the start of the group stages, the lads found their form to finish with a place in the quarter final
In QF the lads beat Junior Hoops in a penalty shoot out to book a semi final against Westend. Jamie Smith, Harvey Bell, Brandon Pearce, Kristopher Kenyon and Tom McDwyer converted all of Woodbank's penalties and a great save from Eli Nolan for the opponents 5th took us through to the next round. In the Semi Final against Westend Junior our lads got the winning goal to make it 1-0 with 2 minutes to go. A lovely driven corner from Jamie Smith was converted with powerful head from Kristopher Kenyon The final against Droylsden Juniors and Woodbank out performed their opponents for the majority of the game but a combination of post, crossbar and the Droylsden Keeper kept Droylsden in the game. In the penalty shoot out, Jamie Smith, Harvey Bell and Brandon Pearce converted all 3 and our keeper Eli Nolan saved the Droylsden 3rd to make our lads Champions
