Chairman Tony Flynn's Woodbank UTB faced Breightmet in a thrilling Butterworth Cup Final on Friday 20th May.
The first half was end to end with Woodbank dominating possession but it was Breightmet that took lead with across from the right hand side and the Breightmet left winger connecting with a lovely left foot finish
The second half, and despite a man of the match performance from Woodbank's keeper Lewis Dove it was Woodbank that took the initiative and they was unlucky not to equalise on several occasions
With two minutes left on the clock it was a George Bourne's corner that was nicely headed home by Joe Taylor for the equaliser
The game then went to penalties. 2 saves from Lewis Dove and screamer over the bar from Breightmet. Woodbank converted 3 of their 4 and lifted the trophy
